How To Spray Paint Your Motorcycle.

  • Prep the surface

    Clean the surface thoroughly with a degreaser like Degreaser/ Panel Wipe to remove oils, dirt, and residues. Lightly sand the area with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 600–800 grit).

  • Filling

    For dents or scratches, apply MOTIP Putty to fill surface imperfections.
    Once dry, sand the area smooth again with fine-grit sandpaper.

  • Masking

    Use masking tape and masking film to protect areas that should not be painted (e.g., engine, wheels, controls).
    Pay extra attention to edges for crisp paint lines.

  • Primer

    Shake the MOTIP Primer can vigorously for at least 3 minutes.

    Apply several light coats (not one heavy coat) to ensure an even base.
    Let each coat dry according to the instructions (typically 10–15 minutes between coats).

  • Applying Colour

    Shake the Custom Filled Aerosol can thoroughly. Apply 2–3 light, even coats at a 20–30 cm distance.
    Let the final coat cure fully (up to 24–48 hours depending on conditions).

  • Protective Top Coat

    Use MOTIP Clear Varnish (Clear Coat) for protection and shine. Spray 2–3 thin layers, allowing about 10 minutes between coats.
    Let the final coat cure fully (up to 24–48 hours depending on conditions).
